Code of Conduct

Our commitment

We commit to a respectful, inclusive, and evidence-oriented project. Participation should be free of harassment regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity or expression, experience level, education, socioeconomic status, nationality, appearance, race, caste, religion, sexual identity or orientation, or research affiliation.

Expected behavior

  • Be constructive, specific, and generous about mistakes.
  • Critique methods, evidence, and code—not people.
  • Distinguish a reproducible observation from an interpretation.
  • Welcome questions and acknowledge uncertainty or conflicts of interest.
  • Respect confidentiality, data restrictions, authorship, and software licenses.
  • Stop behavior when asked and accept proportionate moderation decisions.

Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, threats, discriminatory language, unwanted sexual attention, doxxing, sustained disruption, deliberate misrepresentation of results, or retaliation for good-faith reporting.

Scope

This code applies in repository spaces and when someone represents the project in public or private professional interactions.

Enforcement

Report conduct concerns privately to a repository maintainer through an established private channel. Do not open a public issue containing personal or sensitive details. A maintainer who is involved in a report must recuse themselves. Maintainers may remove content, warn participants, restrict access, or ban participation according to severity and pattern, while minimizing disclosure and retaliation risk.

Good-faith scientific disagreement is not misconduct. Harassment, fabrication, and repeated refusal to follow collaboration norms are.
