Software Engineer | Node.js Backend Developer
I'm a Computer Science graduate focused on backend development with Node.js. My foundation comes from cybersecurity, where I built real tools and completed hands-on labs, and that background shapes how I approach building secure, reliable backend systems.
For my Final Year Project, I worked on VerifyChain, a credential verification system built on zkSync Layer-2, where I handled smart contract development, backend architecture, Node.js integration, and system design. It was hands-on work with Solidity, smart contracts, and zkSync alongside my core backend work, though my current focus going forward is Node.js backend development.
What I'm doing now:
- π§ Building backend systems and APIs with Node.js and Express
- π‘οΈ Applying a security-first mindset from my cybersecurity background to backend work

A completed system built to address credential fraud, covering university degrees, bootcamp certificates, and credentials from private or government institutes.
- Smart contracts written in Solidity 0.8.20, tested and deployed with Foundry on zkSync Sepolia (Layer-2), with all 13/13 Foundry tests passing
- Solidity-packed field encoding and Merkle-Proof verification evaluate credential data integrity mathematically, reducing on-chain storage to a single 32-byte root per batch
- Merkle Tree batch issuance processes up to 1,000 credentials per batch, minimizing gas costs
- Multi-Signature governance requires a 2-of-3 board quorum for institutional onboarding, managed through a dedicated Governance Dashboard for proposal submission and voting
- Backend built with Node.js and Express.js, with MongoDB for off-chain indexing and full Ethers.js integration for blockchain read/write operations
- Issuer Portal where any institution, academic, bootcamp, private, or government, issues single or bulk credentials via MetaMask
- Verifier Portal where employers verify any credential instantly by scanning a QR code, wallet-free and accessible from any standard mobile browser, with an average verification time of 2.8 seconds
- Certificate PDF with embedded QR verification block, auto-delivered to recipients via email with retry handling and ZIP fallback
