The canonical product/technical gap baseline calls for a bounded 1.0 capability/support matrix and for advertised-but-unimplemented model×estimator combinations to fail before fitting. Public FitConfig already limits production estimators to jmle/mmle and rejects BIFAC2PLM with jmle, but downstream buyers/operators have no machine-readable support manifest.
Add a package-owned, versioned model-by-estimator capability manifest derived from the validated public configuration vocabulary. Keep production numerical ownership Rust-only; this issue does not authorize formula, estimator, likelihood, gradient, uncertainty, or reference-backend changes.
