Acceptable locations include, but are not limited to:
- an in-game Credits screen;
- an About screen;
- a Licenses screen;

If the software provides an in-game or in-application Credits, About, Licenses, or similar information screen, the attribution must be displayed there.
For games and other interactive software, the attribution must be accessible from within the software itself.
The attribution must remain readable and must not be intentionally hidden, minimized, obscured, or placed behind an unusually difficult-to-access interface.
The exact visual design may be changed to match the project's style, but the words "Powered by WhaleEngine" and "D0d0ka" must remain clearly recognizable.

The following is not sufficient:

If WhaleEngine itself is modified, forked, ported, or incorporated into another engine or framework, the resulting software must retain the following attribution:
WhaleEngine was originally created by D0d0ka.
Additionally, the resulting software must comply with the Powered by WhaleEngine requirement in Section 4 when it is distributed or used as part of another software project.
The attribution must not be removed merely because the modified version has a different name.
A separate software project that merely uses WhaleEngine as a dependency does not become a derivative work solely because it depends on WhaleEngine.
Such projects may:
- be proprietary or open source;
- use their own license;
- be distributed commercially or free of charge;
- use their own name and branding;
- contain source code that is unrelated to WhaleEngine.
However, any project that uses WhaleEngine and is distributed to others must comply with Section 4 and display:

The WhaleEngine LICENSE must also remain available to recipients when WhaleEngine itself is distributed with the project.
Using WhaleEngine as a dependency does not transfer ownership or authorship of WhaleEngine to the user of the Software.

You may claim authorship of your own modifications, additions, or separate software.
For example, the following is permitted:
MyGameEngine — modified from WhaleEngine by D0d0ka. Modifications by Alex.
The following is not permitted:
MyGameEngine — originally created by Alex.
when the software contains substantial portions of WhaleEngine and the statement falsely attributes the original work.
Modified source files must contain a reasonable indication that the file has been modified from the original WhaleEngine source.
This may be done through a source-file comment, changelog, documentation, or another clear indication appropriate to the project.
Example:
This file is based on WhaleEngine by D0d0ka and has been modified by [Name].
This license does not grant permission to use the name "D0d0ka", "WhaleEngine", or associated logos or branding to imply endorsement by the original author.
Permission to use the Software does not imply that D0d0ka endorses, sponsors, or officially supports a modified version or any project using WhaleEngine.
