DCENT_OS is built by D-Central Technologies and the community around it. We want this to be a place where people who care about open Bitcoin mining can collaborate productively, regardless of who they are.
Be technical, be honest, be respectful. Argue about code, not people.
- Be welcoming and patient with newcomers — everyone was new to mining hardware once.
- Critique ideas and code, not the person. Keep disagreements technical and evidence-based.
- Assume good faith. Ask questions before assuming malice.
- Respect that D-Central sets the project's direction (see
GOVERNANCE.md) — you can disagree respectfully, and you're always free to fork.
- Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks of any kind.
- Doxxing or sharing others' private information.
- Deliberately submitting unsafe firmware changes, malicious code, or fake "proof" logs.
- Sustained disruption of discussions or reviews.
This applies in all project spaces — issues, pull requests, discussions — and in public spaces when someone is representing the project.
Maintainers may remove comments, close issues/PRs, or block contributors who violate this code. Report concerns privately to conduct@d-central.tech (or jonathan@d-central.tech). Reports are handled confidentially.
This Code of Conduct is adapted in spirit from the Contributor Covenant, kept intentionally short.
