Homepage is not responsive on different screen sizes

Describe the bug

The homepage layout is not fully responsive and does not adapt correctly across different screen sizes and viewport widths. Elements may overflow, overlap, misalign, or become difficult to use on smaller screens.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open the homepage.
2. Resize the browser window or test on tablet/mobile viewports.
3. Observe layout behavior across different breakpoints.

Expected behavior

Homepage content remains usable, readable, and properly aligned across supported devices and resolutions.

Hi @alegontarz, I was not able to replicate some of the screenshot problems on a first try of tablet and mobile viewports on the homepage. I also think we would need to add some details to this in order for developers to be able to pick up work:

1. Can you list the browser and viewports (in px range) that you observe these issues occuring on?
2. For each layout problem observed, can you add just a short description of a) what you click on the homepage to see it and b) what the specific problem/expected behavior would be?

Hi @abelc-escire, thanks for volunteering! Yes, you're assigned - however, this issue is currently a little too broadly defined. Before starting your work, can you write a comment with the set of specific layout issues you can reproduce & include in the fix? I hope that will help to clarify for reviewers and prevent the scope from becoming too large.

As a starting place, the 3 issues I can currently reproduce on mobile viewport for the Homepage are:

• Search bar in the navigation menu is cut off when opened
• Footer links ("Cookie settings") are squished; perhaps switch to vertical layout/full width for each link on mobile instead of the column layout?
• When Search Tools are opened, there is a large extra blank space between the end of filters and the footer.
