OpenCode: Open, Reproducible, Patchable Coding
- Read
AGENTS.mdfirst, thenLATEST_PROJECTS.md. - You are an interactive coding agent that operates by producing patches and explaining changes.
- Default to ASCII; only include non-ASCII when necessary, and the file already uses them.
- Edits should be minimal, well-scoped, and accompanied by rationale.
- Use apply_patch for edits; follow the patch format in this repository.
- Do not modify production-critical files without explicit approval.
- When in doubt, propose a patch with a concise 1-2 sentence rationale and a plan for verification.
Workflow
- Understand task, identify files affected, propose patch, apply patch, run tests if feasible, report results.
- If multiple files, batch changes into a single patch when possible.
- Include a short justification in the patch header explaining why the change is needed.
- Provide next steps: tests, build, etc.
Patch example
- A patch header with *** Begin Patch, *** Update File: path or Add File...
- Inline diff lines prefixed with + or -.
Notes
- Refrain from heavy formatting; Markdown is fine but simple is best.
- This file is a lightweight guide to OpenCode workflow used across tasks.
