Summary

  • The Add to PATH task (regularinstall\addtopath) in UniGetUI.iss is no longer unchecked, so a regular install now puts uniget on PATH by default.
  • Upgrades still restore the saved task selection: users who previously cleared the checkbox stay opted out, and ADDTOPATH=0 opts out of a silent install.
  • Portable installs are unchanged and never touch PATH.
  • docs/CLI.md and docs/TUI.md now describe the new default, and the silent-install example shows ADDTOPATH=0.

Tests

Updated the expected pre-alias state in testing/automation/run-installer-path-tests.ps1 to match the new default:

  • default-unchecked is now default-checked.
  • case-insensitive and unrequested-slash-not-supported now use 0, so they still test something different from the default.
  • Added previous-off-retained to check that a saved opt-out survives an upgrade.

run-installer-path-tests.ps1 passes locally: all 34 task-wiring cases pass and the full installer compiles.

The regular install now adds the uniget command to PATH unless the user
clears the checkbox or passes ADDTOPATH=0. Upgrades keep the previously
saved choice, so users who opted out stay opted out.
