Page title is included in printed document

Issue: when printing the page, the page title and URL are included at the very top of the document before the content.
Expected: Page title and URL shouldn't be included in the printed document
Browser: Tested and observed on Firefox 152 and Chromium 149 on Arch Linux.

Thanks for the finding. This is not strictly a bug because it can be changed in the printing settings. These specify if the header and footer are printed

We have however recently discussed that it might be good to inform the users about that. We are not yet 100% clear on how to do that. Possibilities would be to add a text in the page before printing or to open a dialog communicating the setting to the customer. Also I have not done research yet if it is possible to control this setting from JavaScript (but would not be to sure about that).

Interesting, I've looked around and it seems that the common wisdom is to set @page margin to zero.

I tried the following:

@media print {
  body main {
    height: auto !important;
    padding: 0mm;
    margin: 20mm

  @page {
    size: portrait;
    margin: 2mm;
  }    
}

It solves the issue but all the pages following the first one have no margin-top (because the margin is now applied to the body instead of the page). I don't think it's a really elegant solution...

The other options I can think of are:

• Asking the user to untick the option in the browser dialog box
• Do some clever text manipulation to split the letter content into different elements that can have their own margin
