Looking for esthetically inclined people to come up with some designs for neater device widgets

We are currently using some prototype device widgets to get a feel for the layout of buttons and such.
If you have any ideas for user-friendly device widgets for simple interactions with the devices, please share them with us!

Here is an image of our current EMFReader widget, it has a BaseDeviceInfoWidget and the EMFReaderWidget:

We are looking for new concept designs for the BaseDeviceInfo and the EMFReaderWidget.
The requirements that we came up with are:

BaseDeviceInfo

1. Display the name of the device
2. Display connected state

The following connection stated are:

• Disconnected
• Poor Connection
• Connected

EMFReaderWidget

1. Display current state
   • Display how the five LEDS (two green, a yellow and two red) are lit up
2. Set current state
   • Take input to set the state (integer 0-4)
3. Fluctuation
   1. Display current fluctuation magnitude setting
   2. Set fluctuation magnitude setting
      • 0-LED fluctuation (Off)
      • 1-LED fluctuation
      • 2-LED fluctuation
   3. Display current fluctuation rate
   4. Set fluctuation rate
      • Low
      • Medium
      • High
4. Display current “toggle sound”-state
5. Set “toggle sound”-state

SpiritBoxWidget

1. Set speech volume level
   • 0-100%
2. See set speech volume level
   • Display currently set level
3. Set speech rate
   • How fast the voice talks
   • 0-300 is reasonable range
4. See set speech rate
   • Display currently set speech rate
5. Say sentence/word
   • Text input field
   • (Maybe control with external bluetooth keyboard?)
   • (Maybe store pre-made phrases/words in easily selectable list?) Prolly not…
6. Set language
   • Build a list of available languages from a csv separated list of languages from the spiritbox
7. See currently set language
8. Set background static volume
9. See current background static volume
10. Set static volume while speaking
11. See current static volume while speaking

Keep in mind that this is going to run on a 7" touchscreen.
