So if you didn't know already, there is this cave biome in Quark that adds oak trees that spawn underground, with leaves at the ceiling. Maybe you could make it so that if you cut the top log the leaves would collapse and if you cut the bottom log after that, then the logs that would have been floating will fall dynamically?
