The placeholder @git.commit.count@ will cause compilation errors if Maven token replacement fails, as this is not valid Java syntax for an integer literal. Consider adding a fallback value or validation to prevent build failures. Instead use the timecode solution instead of git commit count for any automatic version incrementing where commit would have been used. #82
