We’re excited to introduce UnStudio, a new plugin studio focused on building practical tools for the GrapesJS ecosystem.
Our goal is simple: make GrapesJS-based editors faster, more reliable, and more pleasant to use — both for developers and for the people using the editors they build.
We’ve just released four plugins, each focused on a specific problem we encountered while building visual editors.
⌘K Command Palette
Search and execute actions without leaving the keyboard.
The Command Palette brings the familiar ⌘K / Ctrl+K workflow to GrapesJS.
You can search and access:
Blocks
Components
Commands
Pages
Custom actions
It includes fuzzy search, keyboard navigation, recent actions and extensible search sources.

📱 Responsive Pack
A better way to work with breakpoints and devices.
Responsive Pack extends the default GrapesJS device workflow with tools for understanding and managing responsive layouts.
Features include:
Breakpoint override indicators
Multiple device previews
Synchronized scrolling
Custom breakpoints
Device presets
Portrait / landscape modes
Device frames
The idea is to make responsive debugging much more visual — instead of switching between devices and guessing what changed.

💾 Autosave & Restore
Protect users from losing their work.
Browsers crash. Tabs get closed. Computers restart.
Autosave & Restore adds a local recovery layer to GrapesJS using IndexedDB.
It provides:
Automatic background snapshots
Version history
Snapshot previews
One-click restore
Undo after restore
Manual snapshots
Recovery after reopening the editor
It works alongside the existing GrapesJS StorageManager.

✨ Autofill
Turn an empty layout into a realistic website.
When developing templates and visual editors, placeholder content can make it difficult to see what the final result will actually look like.
Autofill populates GrapesJS layouts with realistic dummy content:
Headlines
Paragraphs
Buttons
Company names
Prices
Images
Industry-specific content
It supports different website types such as SaaS, e-commerce, agencies, blogs and restaurants, as well as multiple languages.

Why We Built These
These plugins come from a simple observation:
The difference between a functional editor and a great editor is often in the small details.
Finding something shouldn't require opening five panels.
Responsive issues shouldn't require guessing.
A browser crash shouldn't mean losing an hour of work.
And an empty template shouldn't take 30 minutes to populate just to show a client a preview.
That's the space we're exploring with UnStudio.
What's next?
These are just the first four plugins.
We're interested in building more tools around the everyday workflow of GrapesJS developers — especially tools that improve the experience without forcing developers to completely change their existing architecture.
We'd also love to hear from the GrapesJS community.
What is the biggest pain point you currently have when building with GrapesJS?
Is there a workflow, feature, or developer tool you wish GrapesJS had?
Share your ideas below. We'd love to hear them. 🚀
