MOZA Truck Stalk Bridge

Closed-source binary distribution for Windows 11, developed privately by Thomas Granofszky. This unofficial community application is made specifically for the MOZA Multi-function Stalk (VID_346E / PID_0024) and connects it to Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.

The source code is not published in this repository. GitHub Releases contain the ready-to-use installer, portable package, release notes, and SHA-256 checksums.

Download and requirements

Download the latest TruckStalkBridge-Setup-x64.exe from Releases.

• Windows 11 x64
• MOZA Multi-function Stalk
• Euro Truck Simulator 2 and/or American Truck Simulator through Steam
• administrator approval for the one-time game-plugin and optional HidHide setup
• HidHide x64 is strongly recommended, but optional

The installer and portable package are self-contained. End users do not need to install .NET, Visual Studio, CMake, or the SCS SDK. The installer and complete application are available in English and German.

This independent community build is currently unsigned. Windows SmartScreen may therefore show an unknown-publisher warning. Download only from this repository and compare the file against checksums-sha256.txt in the same release.

What it does

The bridge reads the stalk through Windows HID and sends confirmed switch states through the official SCS Input SDK. The SCS Telemetry SDK provides the game state required for context-aware controls and the D/N/R/P selector.

• no memory injection or manipulation
• no undocumented MOZA Pit House file changes
• no replacement or reset of controls.sii
• default keyboard bindings are not required
• custom keyboard, wheel, and controller bindings remain available
• held virtual inputs are released after device, plugin, pipe, or heartbeat loss
• optional speed-limit cruise adjustment uses official telemetry, changes the target once every 300 ms, and pauses when no limit is available

HidHide and MOZA Pit House

HidHide is recommended so the game, MOZA Pit House, and the bridge cannot handle the physical stalk at the same time. This is particularly important when “Adaptive to ETS2/ATS” is enabled in the MOZA Pit House stalk menu: Pit House may then emit keyboard presses for stalk movements, while this bridge sends semantic SCS commands. Receiving both paths can cause duplicate or conflicting game actions.

The app hides only the MOZA Multi-function Stalk and explicitly allows the bridge to access it. The MOZA base, wheel, pedals, and unrelated HidHide entries remain unchanged. Reconnect the stalk after hiding or showing it.

HidHide may be omitted if:

1. the stalk is not added or bound in the ETS2/ATS controller settings, and
2. MOZA Pit House does not emit adaptive ETS2/ATS keyboard commands for it.

Installation

1. Close ETS2 and ATS completely.
2. Preferably install HidHide and complete any requested restart.
3. Run TruckStalkBridge-Setup-x64.exe and choose English or German.
4. Keep SCS game integration selected.
5. Preferably select the optional HidHide task.
6. Reconnect the stalk after a HidHide change.
7. Start the app normally, never as administrator, click Start bridge, and then open ETS2 or ATS.

Steam libraries on other drives are detected automatically. If necessary, the app can select the official eurotrucks2.exe or amtrucks.exe manually and previews the exact plugin destination before copying.

Fixed control mapping

Left main stalk

• latched left / centre / right: left indicator / both off / right indicator
• hold towards you: flash headlights; release to stop
• push away: toggle high beams once
• rocker switch: toggle automatic speed-limit cruise adjustment; it moves active cruise towards the current limit by one step every 300 ms, pauses without a valid limit, and resumes when a limit appears or changes
• light ring positions 0 / 1 / 2: lights off / parking lights / low beams

Right main stalk

• four latched positions from bottom to top: D / N / R / P
• P selects neutral and applies the parking brake if required
• hold towards you in the lower three positions: normal horn
• push down past the lowest position: toggle the parking brake once
• the pull movement is mechanically unavailable in the top position

Front wiper ring

MIST – OFF – INT – LO – HI: one wipe / off / intermittent / continuous low / continuous high. MIST is physically latched but intentionally produces only one wipe.

Rear wiper ring

• OFF: base position
• Position 1: no game action; used as mechanical context
• momentarily turn down from OFF: toggle hazard lights
• momentary action from Position 1: deliberately unassigned

Cruise control

• end button: toggle cruise control
• pull: resume when off, cancel when active
• hold up / down: repeatedly increase / decrease the target speed

For automatic speed-limit adjustment, set the in-game cruise-control step to 5 and the distance units as follows: ETS2 → kilometres (5 km/h per step), ATS → miles (5 mph per step). Other step sizes or distance-unit combinations are not supported by the automatic matching mode.

The app includes every mapped and deliberately unused position as a complete expandable control tree. See English mapping and German mapping.

Removal and support

Close both games and uninstall through Windows Installed apps. The uninstaller removes only its own plugins and HidHide additions. For reproducible problems, include the last relevant lines from the in-app runtime log together with the ETS2/ATS and MOZA firmware versions.

HidHide und MOZA Pit House

HidHide verhindert, dass Spiel, MOZA Pit House und Bridge gleichzeitig auf den Stalk reagieren. Das ist besonders wichtig, wenn im Pit-House-Stalk-Menü „Adaptiv zu ETS2/ATS“ aktiviert ist: Pit House kann dann Tastatureingaben erzeugen, während die Bridge semantische SCS-Befehle sendet. Beide Wege gleichzeitig können doppelte oder widersprüchliche Aktionen verursachen.

Die App verbirgt ausschließlich den MOZA Multi-function Stalk und gibt die Bridge frei. Base, Lenkrad, Pedale und fremde HidHide-Einträge bleiben unverändert. Nach einer Änderung den Stalk einmal neu anstecken.

HidHide kann weggelassen werden, wenn der Stalk weder in den Controller-Einstellungen von ETS2/ATS eingebunden noch dort belegt ist und MOZA Pit House keine adaptiven ETS2-/ATS-Tastaturbefehle für ihn erzeugt.

Installation

1. ETS2 und ATS vollständig schließen.
2. Empfohlen: HidHide installieren und einen verlangten Neustart abschließen.
3. TruckStalkBridge-Setup-x64.exe starten und Deutsch oder English auswählen.
4. SCS-Spielintegration aktiviert lassen.
5. Empfohlen: die optionale HidHide-Aufgabe auswählen.
6. Nach einer HidHide-Änderung den Stalk neu anstecken.
7. App normal und niemals als Administrator starten, Bridge starten anklicken und anschließend ETS2 oder ATS öffnen.

Steam-Bibliotheken auf anderen Laufwerken werden automatisch erkannt. Alternativ kann die offizielle eurotrucks2.exe oder amtrucks.exe manuell gewählt werden; die App zeigt das genaue Plugin-Ziel vor dem Kopieren an.

Steuerung

• linker Haupthebel: Blinker links/Mitte/rechts, Lichthupe durch Ziehen, Fernlicht durch Wegdrücken; Wippe schaltet die Tempolimit-Tempomatregelung ein oder aus
• Licht-Drehring Position 0/1/2: aus, Standlicht, Abblendlicht
• rechter Haupthebel von unten nach oben: D/N/R/P
• rechter Hebel zu mir: normale Hupe; in oberster Rastung mechanisch nicht möglich
• rechter Hebel aus unterster Rastung nach unten: Feststellbremse einmal umschalten
• vorderer Wischerring MIST/OFF/INT/LO/HI: einmal wischen/aus/Intervall/langsam/schnell
• Heckwischer-Momentkontakt aus OFF: Warnblinker umschalten
• Tempomat: Ein/Aus, Fortsetzen/Abbrechen sowie Geschwindigkeit wiederholt erhöhen/verringern

Für die automatische Tempolimitregelung müssen die Spieleinstellungen folgendermaßen gesetzt sein: Tempomat-Schrittweite 5 und Entfernungseinheiten: ETS2 → Kilometer (5 km/h je Schritt), ATS → Meilen (5 mph je Schritt). Andere Schrittweiten oder Entfernungseinheiten werden von der automatischen Angleichung nicht unterstützt.

Die App enthält alle belegten und bewusst unbelegten Positionen als vollständigen aufklappbaren Schalterbaum. Siehe deutsche Belegung und englische Belegung.

Deinstallation und Support

Beide Spiele schließen und die App über Installierte Apps entfernen. Der Uninstaller entfernt nur seine eigenen Plugins und HidHide-Ergänzungen. Bei reproduzierbaren Problemen bitte die relevanten letzten Zeilen des App-Laufzeitprotokolls sowie ETS2-/ATS- und MOZA-Firmware-Version angeben.
