The EPICS timelines (epics_xy, epics_hall_weather, etc.,), do not really require running qtl histogram since there are no histograms to run; the qtl analysis step does all the work (the MYA/RCDB querying), and all that qtl histogram does in this particular case is provide a convenient list of run numbers via HIPO file names. I'd like to be able to produce these epics_* timelines without having to run qtl histogram first.
