Documentation improvement suggestions

Hi everyone!

This is a catch-all issue for suggestions or ideas for documentation improvement.
We can use it by keeping it updated with

• directions to work on
• new examples and tutorials
• fixes you would like to see
• currently undocumented features

instead of having lots of separate issues for documentation fixes (it's inspired by jump-dev/JuMP.jl#2348).

If you have suggestions for things to add or change to the documentation, write it in a comment below.

If you're looking to contribute to PlotlyJS.jl, finding something off this list is a great place to start!

Templates! Templates are a newer feature that replaced styles and provide different but consistent design for a plot layout.
We don't have any examples or guides to using them in PlotlyJS.jl.

It was announced in Sep 2025 that plotly will no longer be maintaining or developing their Julia documentation:

Thank you for maintaining the documentation.

By "adapt the official plotly documentation" you mean all the markdown pages under the julia directory https://github.com/plotly/plotlyjs.jl-docs/tree/master/julia?

Excellent, thank you. See #523 for a start. Regarding the licence: are we allowed to copy and include them or do we need permission?

The examples in the current PlotlyJS documentation do not have any text: would you consider adding some, like the one in the plotlyjs-julia website?

@jd-foster Could you please comment on #523 in particular about line_scatter2.md? They are mostly the old exemples with explanations.
