Papers on Preparing Massive Document Corpora for Model Training
#3576
I am looking for papers that highlight and explain how the pre-processing of diverse text sources can be handled for the training of foundation models like GPT4. I just assume that it requires an absurd amount of data mining preprocessing.
GPT-4 Technical Report by OpenAI provides a detailed description of the development of GPT-4, a large-scale, multimodal model that can accept image and text inputs and produce text outputs. The report also explains how the pre-processing of diverse text sources was handled for the training of GPT-4.
Speeding up training by compressing all training data into a lazy-loading database file is discussed in this paper. This method can accelerate the training process and accommodate GPU memory limitations.
Summary of ChatGPT-Related Research and Perspective is a comprehensive survey of ChatGPT-related (GPT-3.5 and GPT-4) research, state-of-the-art large language models (LLM) from the GPT series, and their prospective applications across diverse domains.
