Description

Suppresses MagicMirror's per-update crossfade globally: module content is swapped instantly and invisibly instead of fading through the black background on every refresh (the "blink"). Affects only updateDom(); show()/hide() animations stay intact. No dependencies, no node_helper, no API key.

@ago1776 Thanks, but what does this do differently than just setting animationSpeed: 0 in the config of the module I don't want fading? That already gives an instant, blink-free swap for basically every module. And if some module hardcodes its fade duration without exposing it via config, isn't that a bug in that module rather than something needing a separate workaround module?

You're absolutely right — thanks for the clear feedback. animationSpeed: 0 in a module's config already gives the instant, blink-free swap for any module that passes it through, and where a module hardcodes its fade duration that's a bug in the module itself, not something warranting a separate global module. I've corrected that in my own modules (they now expose animationSpeed instead of hardcoding it), so I'm withdrawing MMM-NoFade. Appreciate you catching it!
