Engineering Lead and hands-on engineer building production AI, computer vision, and automation systems.
I lead a small engineering pod at TJM Labs, where I own client-facing automation end-to-end and author the shared frameworks and observability standards the wider engineering org builds on. My work sits where machine learning meets systems that have to be correct without a human watching.
What I work on
- Production LLM systems: multi-provider fallback, caching, schema-validated output, evaluation and regression tracking
- Computer vision and OCR pipelines for degraded real-world inputs, OpenCV, template matching, handwriting OCR, vision-language models
- Instrumentation and observability: OpenTelemetry, structured event schemas, dashboards and alerting for unattended systems
- Platform work: framework templates and shared libraries other teams build on
Background
BEng Mechatronics. Robotics before software: ROS 2, Nav2, SLAM, and real LiDAR and camera hardware on a rover prototype and an autonomous ground vehicle. Still where my interests point.
