Add framework-parity harness + CrewAI example - #2201

Conversation
Backs the "framework-agnostic" claim with an actual nightly check instead of a static example list: - scripts/framework_parity/: installs each framework example's own package into an isolated `uv` venv, runs the real `nat validate` CLI against it (structural tier, no credentials needed), and for entries with a single-credential canonical config, actually runs the workflow and inspects the IntermediateStepManager event stream to assert a real LLM span with non-zero token usage was emitted (live tier). Two-tier design and its rationale documented in scripts/framework_parity/README.md. - .github/workflows/framework_parity.yml: runs the matrix nightly (and on PRs touching these paths, structural-only), publishes results as artifacts, and regenerates the badge table in examples/frameworks/README.md on the scheduled/manual run only. - examples/frameworks/crewai_demo/: new CrewAI example, structured as the direct counterpart to semantic_kernel_demo (same two tools, same task, different framework) so the two are comparable side by side. Verified with `nat validate` and a live `nat run` (auth-failing without a real key, which is the expected/correct failure point). ADK already has a full example (adk_demo) contrary to the original brief; left as-is and added to the parity matrix rather than duplicated. Signed-off-by: Ayantika Nandi <ayantikanandi18@gmail.com>

Make the docstring summary a complete first sentence.
The first docstring line starts a multi-line description and does not end with a period. Put a concise summary ending with a period on the first line. Put the detailed parity rationale below it.

Run the renderer through Python.
render_table.py has no shebang, so this command is not directly executable. Prefix it with python, as the surrounding commands do.
As per coding guidelines, keep documentation in sync with code.

Please update your PR to remove the entire framework parity harness and CI changes.

We already have an internal nightly CI that runs all examples. This is superfluous and must be removed.

examples/ already has a README that lists all of the framework examples. I'd prefer the addition of the new demo to go there.
Addresses review feedback on PR NVIDIA#2201: - Removed scripts/framework_parity/ and .github/workflows/framework_parity.yml. An internal nightly CI already runs all examples, so the harness was superfluous. Also reverted the .gitignore entry it needed. - Removed the new examples/frameworks/README.md. examples/README.md already lists every framework example, so crewai_demo is added there instead, in alphabetical order and matching the existing entry format. - Dropped the framework-parity framing from the demo's own README and config docstring, since the harness it referred to no longer exists. Text only; no workflow, tool, or config logic changed. The PR is now just the CrewAI example. Thanks for the review. Both points make sense, and I have pushed the changes. Removed the framework parity harness and the CI workflow entirely. I did not know about the internal nightly CI that already runs the examples, so the harness was duplicating work that is already covered. I also reverted the .gitignore line it needed. Removed the new examples/frameworks/README.md and added crewai_demo to the existing examples/README.md instead, in alphabetical order and in the same format as the other entries. I also took the framework parity wording out of the demo's own README and its config docstring, since the harness it referred to is gone. That was text only, nothing in the workflow, tools, or config changed. The PR is now just the CrewAI example. |

Branch is now updated with develop, so it is no longer out of date. One open question I would like your call on. Every other framework example is registered in the root pyproject.toml, both in the examples list and in tool.uv.sources. I tried to add nat_crewai_demo there too, but it breaks dependency resolution. The examples extra would then pull in the crewai extra, and crewai is already declared as conflicting with openpipe-art because of incompatible litellm versions. Making that work looks like it needs a change to the conflicts list, which felt like your decision rather than mine, so I left it out. So right now the example is not registered in the root pyproject. Happy to add it whichever way you prefer, or to leave it as is if the internal nightly CI picks up examples a different way. The only failing check is the Label Checker, which needs the category and breaking labels. I do not have permission to add labels to this repo. |

With both nat_crewai_demo and nat_semantic_kernel_demo installed, hotel_price and local_events are registered twice, and both demos' configs fail nat validate:
Invalid configuration: functions.hotel_price: Input tag 'hotel_price' found using discriminator() does not match any of the expected tags: 'nat_crewai_demo/hotel_price', 'nat_crewai_demo/local_events', ... 'nat_semantic_kernel_demo/hotel_price', 'nat_semantic_kernel_demo/local_events', ...
I ran nat validate --config_file on each demo's configs/config.yml with both installed: both fail. With only the Semantic Kernel demo installed, its config passes. The root examples group already installs nat_semantic_kernel_demo (pyproject.toml:162), so this breaks as soon as the CrewAI demo is added there.
Unique names here and in local_events_tool.py:34 (e.g. crewai_hotel_price, crewai_local_events), plus the matching _type values in configs/config.yml, should avoid it.
This project says it works with many different AI agent frameworks (CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, ADK, and others), but there was no automated way to check that those examples still actually work over time. This adds a nightly check that installs each framework's example fresh and runs it, so we'll know right away if one breaks. It also adds a missing CrewAI example, built to match the existing Semantic Kernel one so they're easy to compare side by side. More details are in scripts/framework_parity/README.md.
