Log and crash report
No crash happens
Additional Context
When I walk onto a wool carpet block, my character gets stuck in place: I can't move forward, can't turn the camera in any direction, and the game keeps doing small involuntary jumps. This continues until I break/remove the carpet block.
Things I've tested to isolate the cause:
Does not happen in singleplayer/offline worlds — only when connected to a real server.
Reproduced on two completely unrelated servers: my own Paper server (hosted on Aternos) and Hypixel. This rules out a server-side plugin as the cause — I initially suspected the GSit seating plugin on my own server (it lets players sit on carpet by right-clicking), but Hypixel doesn't run that plugin and the bug still happens there.
Only happens with wool carpet specifically — I tested other thin/low-collision blocks online (snow layer, pressure plate) and movement works fine on those.
Stairs (also usable as a seat by some server plugins) do not trigger this bug.
Enabling "Force Smooth Movement" in the Legacy4J settings makes the same stuck/micro-jump behavior happen on every block, not just carpet. Disabling it again restores normal movement everywhere, except carpet, which is still affected.
Separately, I also can't place a wool carpet on the block I'm currently standing on — the placement just fails.
