I'm trying to understand and possibly manually trigger a low-power state on my Solis S5-EH1P3K-L hybrid inverter.
At night, with no PV and no load, the inverter normally remains in the status:
Bypass / Inverting / Running
In this state, the inverter appears to consume around 80–90 W.
However, when my lead-acid battery bank reaches the configured Over-discharge Voltage, the inverter changes status to:
Normal operation
At the same time, its power consumption drops dramatically to around 9 W.
This behaviour is repeatable and appears to be directly triggered by reaching the configured Over-discharge Voltage. My system uses lead-acid batteries with no communicating BMS, so the trigger is voltage-based rather than SOC-based.
From the Solis Modbus information I've found, register 33095 appears to map these operating states, with status
4corresponding to “Bypass inverting Running” and status0corresponding to “Normal operation”.What I'm trying to achieve is to force the inverter into the same ~9 W low-power state overnight while the battery is still around 51–52 V, rather than having to discharge the battery all the way to the Over-discharge Voltage first.
I have already tried temporarily increasing the Over-discharge Voltage via Modbus. The inverter accepts values up to roughly 47–48 V, but higher values such as 49–52 V are rejected/reset to 44.5 V, so using the voltage threshold as a workaround isn't viable.
Has anyone successfully:
I'm specifically interested in actual tested workarounds or register-level findings rather than general Self-Use or Time-of-Use settings.
Any register captures or comparisons between status
4and status0would also be very useful.All reactions
