Error changing dispatch mode on the inverter

I switched the read only off for a few minutes to see whether any of the inverter controls are working and forced it to Freeze Export mode.

Good news is that some of the controls are working - a few settings in the integration were changed and the dispatch was activated.

However the command to change the inverter dispatch mode doesn't work:

Error log from thehome assistant predbat logs when this command was attempted to be executed:

I created a script that does roughly the same commands and ran it successfully. The YAML did not contain quote marks around "No Battery Charge (19)" so I tried that in the apps.yaml but the same error.

I guess worst case I can call a script from the apps.yaml instead but I am not sure why this doesn't work for me but works for you.

The problem isn't the quotes, it's the service being called.

You've currently got:

input_select.set_options

but that service is for changing the whole list of available options. To select one of the existing options it should be:

- service: input_select.select_option
  entity_id: input_select.alphaess_helper_dispatch_mode
  option: "No Battery Charge (19)"

So I'd change just that service name and try it again.

That also explains the error about option being an extra key — set_options expects options, whereas select_option expects option.
