Luma Recorder Launch Strategy

Tagline: Record. Explain. Teach.

Positioning: A local-first screen recorder built specifically for educators, trainers, and knowledge creators.

Phase 1: Pre-Launch

Prepare Screenshots And GIFs

  • Capture the main recording screen with full-screen and selected-area options visible.
  • Capture microphone, webcam overlay, and audio device controls.
  • Capture the recordings library after a lesson recording is saved.
  • Capture the edit/export tools: trim, compress, snapshot, and zoom export.
  • Create three GIFs:
    • Record a lesson walkthrough in under 10 seconds.
    • Add webcam and microphone to a training clip.
    • Trim/compress a recording after capture.

Prepare Demo Video

Create a 30-60 second video with this structure:

  1. Problem: educators often need a fast way to record lessons without cloud accounts.
  2. Show Luma Recorder opening instantly.
  3. Select area, enable mic, enable webcam.
  4. Record a short explanation.
  5. Stop and show the file in recordings/.
  6. End with: "Record. Explain. Teach. Local-first."

Prepare GitHub Repo Fully

  • README has animated product hero, educator positioning, Arabic/English explanation, download path, privacy promise, and contribution path.
  • SECURITY.md, BUILDING.md, TRUST_AND_SAFETY.txt, and license are complete.
  • Add GitHub topics:
