Brushes and generators can be grouped under a Composite (Add Component > Chisel > Composite). The shapes inside it are first combined with each other, and the result then acts as one whole shape, with the composite's own operation, on the shapes above it.
This lets you build a complicated shape out of simple ones (a window frame with its hole, a pillar with its base) and then add, subtract or intersect the whole shape at once.
A composite's operation (Additive, Subtractive or Intersecting) applies to its combined shape.
Inside a composite, its children's operations only work on each other.
