Hi, I’m Ragad Alfatih 👋

Data Analyst | Business Intelligence | Bioinformatics

I am a Birmingham-based data analyst with a multidisciplinary background in data analysis, software engineering, computer science, and bioinformatics.

I recently completed an MSc in Bioinformatics with Distinction at the University of Birmingham. I also hold a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

I enjoy transforming complex data into clear, practical insights that support better decisions. I recently completed a Data Technician Skills Bootcamp with Leeptalent, where I developed hands-on experience in data preparation, analysis, visualisation, modelling, and reporting using Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Azure, and GitHub.

Academic and Professional Background

During my MSc in Bioinformatics, I developed automated workflows for complex biomedical data as part of a wider collaborative research project. I attended regular project meetings, communicated progress, discussed technical challenges, and agreed next steps with my supervisor and project team.

Earlier in my career, I worked as a university lecturer at Libyan International Medical University in Benghazi, where I taught programming and software-related subjects.
