Code Of Conduct

Two people carrying a lantern toward a distant horizon

AIppocampus is built around continuity, source, and care. The same posture applies to how we work together.

Our Standard

Be clear, patient, and specific. Assume good intent, but do not let harm hide behind ambiguity.

Good participation includes:

  • grounding claims in source, tests, or clearly marked uncertainty
  • keeping private memory artifacts, credentials, local paths, and personal data out of public threads
  • disagreeing with ideas without belittling people
  • giving contributors enough context to repair a problem
  • respecting that this project touches memory, identity, and trust

Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, threats, discriminatory language, sexualized attention, doxxing, credential exposure, and repeated bad-faith misrepresentation of another contributor's work.

Private Data Boundary

Do not post raw conversation exports, local registry data, secret-bearing logs, private source refs, or screenshots that reveal personal information. If a bug needs private evidence, describe the shape of the evidence and offer a sanitized fixture or redacted trace instead.

Enforcement

Maintainers may edit or remove comments, close issues, restrict participation, or block contributors when needed to keep the project safe and workable.

When reporting a conduct concern, include links, screenshots, or short context when safe to share. Do not include private memory artifacts just to prove a point.

This code is intentionally small. The rule underneath it is simple: help people keep the light on while we build tools that remember carefully.
