In my organization, I have a workspace that contains over a hundred folders. In web mode, on a Pixel 3A (Google) smartphone, it takes several minutes to load the folder contents, and there’s no notification to indicate that this is normal. I tested it on Martine’s Pixel 3A, and it’s the same there.

I don't really see why the GUI would block, so my theory is this is a newly created device with nothing stored in the cache yet. When trying to access the workspace that contains a lot of folders, every manifest has to be downloaded. Since we don't have any multiplexing yet (see

), it means a round trip for every manifest. So 300 folders would lead to 300 trips, even if it takes only 50ms for each one (which would be quite good and probably unrealistic on mobile) that's 15 seconds. This would seem like an eternity for a user watching a spinner.
