Terminal Chat Application using Java Socket

A terminal level chat application as learning project to explore Socket in java.

Features

• Chat on terminal.
• Set username for chat
• Not any information save about chat
• \help and \exit terminal input for guide and safe exit.
• Server address to configure and connect for other user over same network;

Prerequisites

Make sure you have installed:

• Java 1.4 or higher.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Shevadesuyash/Terminal_Chat_App_Using_Java.git

2. Move into the project directory:

   cd Terminal_Chat_App_Using_Java

Things should know before use

1. It has 2 role : Server , Client.
2. Server should be start before Client.
3. For Client Enter User name as Display name to other user.

How to Use

1. Run the Main class:

   1. From terminal ( Run as want ):

      javac Main
      java Main

   2. From any Idea: Edit Run configuaration -> Allow multiple instance

2. Monitor your terminal and Enter your role Server or Client.
