Returning to a learning route hid verified mastery while another account read ran. Reuse an in-memory cache scoped to the signed-in account and revalidate in the background. Cold reads and failed revalidation retain explicit pending/error/retry states; sign-out, rejected authentication, guest mode and sign-in clear the cache, and responses from an earlier session cannot refill it.
Validation: full quality gate and 1,035 tests pass; CI is green. Built UI qualification uses the production Pages handler with a synthetic account and SQLite persistence. At 390 px, route returns retain the saved rating during delayed reads with no pending flash and CLS 0; blocked reads show the error and recover through Try again. No production release has been performed.
