Is running both crowdsec bouncer on the host and traefik redundent?

I mean if the host bouncer blocks the IP at the firewall level what would be the point of blocking it in traefik as it would never make it that far. Am I missing something here?

The host may not know or see the ip of the bad traffic. If the request comes in through cloudflare then firewall will see cloudflare ip
Where as traffic middleware’s can find the real ip
Firewall bouncer does not block all bad traffic and likewise traefik bouncer cannot block direct ip attacks
