State the scope boundary against awesome-study-resources

Problem

This list and awesome-study-resources overlap enough that a visitor cannot tell which one they want, and a contributor with a good resource cannot tell which repository to open a PR against.

Depends on the decision in awesome-study-resources#4. If those lists merge, this becomes unnecessary. Please wait for that to close before starting.

What to do

Add one sentence to the opening paragraph stating what belongs here and what belongs in the sibling list.

The boundary has to be applicable without asking. Something like "general tools, platforms and communities here; subject and exam specific study material there" works because a contributor can apply it to their own resource unaided. "The best resources" does not.

Add the mirrored sentence to the sibling README.

Then check the current entries against the boundary and move any that clearly sit on the wrong side.

Acceptance criteria

• One-sentence boundary in the opening paragraph
• Mirrored sentence in the sibling README, submitted as a linked PR
• A stranger could apply the rule to a new resource without asking
• Misplaced entries relocated, or listed in the PR if you would rather not move them yourself

Scope: small, roughly 30 minutes for the wording, longer if you audit the entries.

The blocking dependency (awesome-study-resources#4) is now closed: decided Option B, keep the two lists separate, with the boundary being 'exam, curriculum, and subject-study material there; discounts, scholarships, career prep, debate, homeschooling, FOSS picks, blogs/podcasts, books, guides, mental health, and communities here.'

This repo's side is already done: the opening paragraph of README.md reads 'This list covers life around school: discounts, money, career prep, and wellbeing. Awesome Study Resources covers exam, curriculum, and subject-specific study material instead, and Awesome Skills & Plugins for Students covers AI coding-agent skills and plugins built for students.' That's a one-sentence, applicable-without-asking boundary already in place.

I audited current entries against that boundary and didn't find anything clearly misplaced (the v2.0.0 split already moved every exam/curriculum/subject-study section out; the only borderline cases are a few exam-specific Reddit communities under Communities — r/SAT, r/APStudents, r/IBO, r/igcse — but those are peer-support/community resources tied to an exam identity, not study material itself, so they read as in-scope here rather than misplaced).

What's NOT done, and is out of scope for this session: the mirrored boundary sentence in awesome-study-resources' own README opening paragraph (its README currently only has a brief 'More from StudentSuite'-style cross-link, not an equivalent one-sentence boundary statement up top), submitted as a linked PR there. I don't have a local clone of that repo or explicit authorization to push to it in this session, so leaving that as a follow-up for whoever has access to it. Leaving this issue open until that mirrored PR lands.
