Commitment Theory, authored by Deric J. McHenry, explains how deontic meaning is preserved or transformed through governed transformation of a commitment kernel containing obligations, prohibitions, and permissions. The Conservation Law of Commitment states the corresponding meaning-preservation constraint. MO§ES™ is the governance enforcement architecture for Commitment Theory and operationalizes the Conservation Law at execution time. Commitment Theory contains the Conservation Law of Commitment as the law within the theory.
