Silkscreen

Pixel/display family on Google Fonts under SIL OFL 1.1. Useful for chunky HUD titles and retro labels without the arcade-block look of Press Start 2P.

Notes

  • Copyright, as the OFL notice you ship must carry it: "Copyright 2001 The Silkscreen Project Authors (https://github.com/googlefonts/silkscreen)". Designer per Google Fonts' metadata: Jason Kottke. Google Fonts distributes the family; it is not the rights holder, so this entry sets no publisher
  • OFL source: google/fonts ofl/silkscreen/OFL.txt
  • Keep OFL notice with redistributed binaries
  • Attribution example: Silkscreen © The Silkscreen Project Authors — SIL OFL 1.1

Evidence

  • Live-checked https://raw.githubusercontent.com/google/fonts/main/ofl/silkscreen/OFL.txt (2026-07-19): “This Font Software is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.” Copyright 2001 The Silkscreen Project Authors. OFL permits bundling/embedding/selling with software.
