A Chrome extension (Manifest V3) that opens faucet.solana.com (devnet), fills in the wallet and amount, and tries to request an airdrop on a schedule.

⚠️ About the captcha

After "Confirm Airdrop", the faucet shows a Cloudflare check ("Please complete the captcha…"). It usually passes automatically within a few seconds — you don't have to enter anything. So the bot waits for it to finish (up to 20s) and only then records the result (success/error). If the check gets stuck and actually shows an interactive captcha, the bot leaves the tab open so you can solve it manually. An interactive captcha cannot be bypassed automatically.

🔓 Unlock the higher airdrop limit (one-time)

The faucet grants a higher airdrop limit to users who have connected their GitHub account. To get the maximum, do this once before running the bot:

1. In the same browser where this extension is installed, open faucet.solana.com.
2. Connect your GitHub account / repository there.
3. You should see "Higher Airdrop Limit Unlocked!" confirming your GitHub account is connected.

This is a one-time action — once unlocked, the bot will request at the higher limit on every run.

Browser support

The single manifest.json works across browsers: Chromium-based browsers use the service_worker background, Firefox uses the scripts (event page) background. Each browser may show a harmless warning about the key it doesn't use.

Installation

Chrome / Edge / Brave / Opera

1. Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions, brave://extensions, opera://extensions).
2. Enable Developer mode (top-right).
3. Click Load unpacked and select this folder.

Firefox

1. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.
2. Click Load Temporary Add-on… and select the manifest.json in this folder. (Temporary add-ons are removed when Firefox restarts; to install permanently the extension must be signed/published on AMO.)
3. If airdrops don't run, open the add-on's permissions and grant access to faucet.solana.com — Firefox treats MV3 host permissions as optional and asks you to allow them.

Usage

Click the extension icon:

• Recipient wallet — paste your devnet address and click 💾 Save settings.
• Amount / Interval — pick the amount and the interval in hours, then save.
• ▶ Run now — opens the faucet in a visible tab, fills the fields and clicks Confirm. If there is no captcha, the airdrop completes on its own; if there is, solve the captcha manually.
• Keep the faucet tab open — when enabled, the tab is not closed after a run. When a captcha is needed, the tab stays open anyway (on a manual run).
• The 📋 Logs panel shows what's happening; Clear wipes the history.

How to verify the bot works

1. Paste your address and click Save.
2. Click Run now.
3. The logs should show Run (manual): … → …, followed by either Request sent (success) or a specific error (for example, "Confirm Airdrop" button not found).
4. The status at the top shows ✅/⚠️/⏳ and the last/next run times.

Note: faucet.solana.com may apply rate limits / a captcha. The faucet's response text (success or failure) is read automatically and stored in the logs. A manual run opens the faucet tab in a visible window so you can see the response live.

After changing files — reload the extension

Chrome re-reads popup.html/popup.js every time the popup opens, but background.js (the service worker) only updates after you reload the extension. If logs don't appear or the status shows stale data:

1. Open chrome://extensions.
2. Click the reload (↻) button on the extension card.
3. Check that the version matches the latest in manifest.json, and that the log Extension installed/updated — new code is active appeared right away.

Disclaimer & legal

This is an independent tool for development on test networks (devnet). It is not affiliated with the Solana Foundation or any faucet. Devnet tokens have no monetary value. Many faucets prohibit automated access (this is why they use captchas) — you are responsible for complying with each faucet's terms. The Extension is provided as is, without warranty, and stores all data locally in your browser (nothing is collected or transmitted).
