Trimui Brick Nano 1.4 MTP Fix - bluetooth can't find any headphones for pairing

I have tried pairing three completely different bluetooth headphones and earphones.

1. enable bluetooth
2. go to pairing mode in the ui
3. switch bluetooth headphones to pairing mode
4. start searching for bluetooth devices on the Brick

result - can't find anything.
expected result - bluetooth device shown as available for pairing

additional info - I successfully paired all my headphones and earphones on the crossmix os (tweak of the stock os), on the nextUI and on MuOS with additional bluetooth software.
