MissionReady Cyber

MissionReady Cyber is a plain-language cybersecurity readiness planner for small nonprofits, clinics, mutual-aid groups, houses of worship, education programs, and other community-serving organizations.

What it does

Twelve maturity questions span the six NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 Functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. The application calculates function-level readiness, then converts every gap into a prioritized 30–60–90 day roadmap with suggested ownership.

Recruiter-facing engineering highlights

  • Typed assessment model with six independently calculated function scores
  • Four-state maturity scale: not started, informal, documented, and tested
  • Deterministic prioritization engine that assigns gaps to 30, 60, or 90-day phases
  • Context-sensitive summary for organization type and technology capacity without requesting names or sensitive system details
  • Session-only state with no account, storage, telemetry, or network submission
  • Responsive, keyboard-accessible UI with reduced-motion and print-ready roadmap modes
  • Production dependency audit with no known runtime vulnerabilities
  • Server-render tests for all six functions, three roadmap phases, and the no-persistence boundary

Framework basis and limitations

The educational model is informed by the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 Small Business Quick-Start Guides and CISA Small and Medium-Sized Business Resources.

MissionReady Cyber is not a NIST assessment, certification, audit, penetration test, legal opinion, compliance determination, or guarantee of security.
