List the BambuTagger readers
Two third-party devices declare TigerTag support and were nowhere on the site: BT-Touch, a battery handheld that reads, clones and writes five tag families, and BT-AMS-C, a four-slot reader that mounts on a Bambu Lab AMS and feeds tag data to the printer. States plainly what they are under our own vocabulary — compatible, which needs nobody's permission, not certified, which is an audit we grant. And answers the question the word "clone" raises: copying a standard TigerTag is expected, but a copy cannot carry a valid TigerTag+ signature. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

## Readers built by other people
34+
35+
Some makers build their own readers that speak TigerTag directly, without any
36+
of our software in the loop. **BambuTagger**
37+
([bambutagger.de](https://www.bambutagger.de/en/)) is a German open-source
38+
project publishing ESP32-based spool readers — sources on GitHub, printable
39+
cases, PCB files and firmware, all free. Two of its devices declare TigerTag
40+
support:
41+
42+
| Device | What it is | What it does with TigerTag |
43+
|---|---|---|
44+
| **[BT-Touch](https://www.bambutagger.de/en/bt-touch)** | A battery-powered unit with a 5″ 800×480 touchscreen — ESP32-S3 and one RC522 reader — storing over 2000 tags locally | **Reads, clones and writes** TigerTag, alongside Bambu Lab, Spoolease, OpenSpool and OpenTag3D tags |
45+
| **[BT-AMS-C](https://www.bambutagger.de/en/bt-ams)** | A four-slot reader that mounts on a Bambu Lab AMS — ESP32 with 4× RC522, OLED and TFT displays, addressable LEDs. Shows live AMS slot data and **sends tag data to the printer / BMCU** | Reads the same five tag families, one per slot |
46+
47+
Two things worth being precise about.
48+
49+
**These are compatible, not certified.** A third party may say *"compatible
50+
with TigerTag"* freely and without asking anyone — that is exactly what this
51+
is, and it is the whole point of an open format. It is not *certified*:
52+
certification is an audit that TigerSystem grants, and neither device has been
53+
through one. The difference is explained in
54+
[the trademark policy](../../TRADEMARK.md).
55+
56+
**Cloning a chip is not a hole in the format.** A standard TigerTag carries no
57+
authentication and is never write-locked, so copying one is expected — it is
58+
the same property that lets you rewrite your own chips. What a copy cannot
59+
carry is a valid [TigerTag+](../products/tigertag-plus.md) signature: a cloned
60+
tag fails verification on the customer's own phone, offline.
61+
62+
That devices like these exist without us is the measure of the format: nothing
63+
was asked of us, no key was needed, no agreement was signed.

## Des lecteurs construits par d'autres
39+
40+
55+
*« compatible with TigerTag »* librement, sans demander l'autorisation à
56+
