GRANT OF LICENSE

Subject to the conditions below, Traitome ("Licensor") grants you
("Licensee") a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license
to use, copy, modify, and distribute oxo-call solely for:

  • Academic research (including publication of results)
  • Education and teaching
  • Personal non-commercial projects
  • Evaluation of the software

PERMITTED USES
──────────────
  ✓  Use in university / research-institute pipelines
  ✓  Use in coursework and teaching materials
  ✓  Publication of results obtained with oxo-call (citation appreciated)
  ✓  Modification and redistribution of modified versions for
     academic/non-commercial purposes
  ✓  Internal benchmarking and evaluation

PROHIBITED USES
───────────────
  ✗  Any commercial use (see definition below)
  ✗  Offering oxo-call or a derivative as a paid service or product
  ✗  Using oxo-call in a for-profit production pipeline
  ✗  Distributing the software without retaining this license notice
     and the copyright notice above
  ✗  Sublicensing to third parties under different terms

DEFINITION OF COMMERCIAL USE
──────────────────────────────
"Commercial use" means any use of oxo-call by or for a commercial
organization (company, partnership, or any entity whose primary
purpose is generating profit), including:
  • Internal use in a for-profit organization's production pipelines
  • Integration into a paid product or service
  • Contract research, consulting, or outsourced analytical services
    where oxo-call is used to deliver commercial outputs

Joint industry–academic projects funded by commercial sponsors fall
under the commercial category unless the sponsor has purchased a
commercial organization license.

LICENSE FILE REQUIREMENT

Even academic use requires a signed license file issued by Traitome.

CONDITIONS

  1. You must retain all copyright notices and this license in all
     copies or substantial portions of the software.
  2. Redistributions of modified works must carry a prominent notice
     stating that changes were made and must be distributed under terms

  3. The license file issued to you is non-transferable.  Do not share
     your license file with other organizations.
