• NameRes ES validation, September 2026

  Validating the Elasticsearch-backed NameRes (namelookup-es.ci.transltr.io) against the Solr-backed NameRes on the same Babel data, before it goes further than CI. Baseline, over the same 2076 Babel Validation sheet rows: 58 exact top-1 hits on ES against 127 on Solr. The differences fall into three mechanisms (#131 tokenization, #132 ranking, #133 score ties), plus one place where ES is already ahead (#134), and two harness gaps the work ran into (#135, #136). Done when the three mechanism issues are resolved or reassigned to biothings/NameResolutionAPI, and the sheet rows in #134 are flipped to 'expected to pass'.
