Reverbs over 100 ms are called echoes and shouldn't be accounted for. What you see on the spectogram is 50 decibels of dynamic range, while even a 10 dB decrease is practically invisible when correcting for. Windowing is there for better SNR, and should not be used for taming reverbs in any way. There's UCC for that. |

Hi! Am I correct in understanding that if my listening room has long reverberations at low frequencies, I should increase the window length from 250 to approximately 400 ms(if the reverb "tail" on the spectrogram is approximately 400ms)? This is so that the reverberations are accounted for and corrected by the Cavern algorithm
