DMC Rengine Code of Conduct

Our standard

We are committed to a professional, technically rigorous, and welcoming community.

Expected behavior includes:

  • treating contributors with respect;
  • challenging claims through evidence rather than personal attacks;
  • clearly separating confirmed facts from hypotheses;
  • accepting corrections without hostility;
  • crediting research and implementation work;
  • protecting private data and legally restricted material;
  • helping new contributors understand project architecture and evidence rules.

Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, discrimination, threats, doxxing, deliberate sabotage, plagiarism, knowingly fabricated evidence, credential exposure, or pressure to publish copyrighted game assets or leaked source code.

Technical disagreement

Disagreement is normal in reverse engineering. Resolve disputes by improving reproducibility:

  1. state the competing claims;
  2. identify the artifacts and versions involved;
  3. provide hashes, traces, tests, or runtime observations;
  4. mark uncertainty explicitly;
  5. update the Reverse Canon when stronger evidence wins.

Lore and satire

The Order of the Inverted Triangle, Monks of Reverse, and Sect of Neuroslop are fictional community branding. Participation in the lore is optional. Do not use the satire to exclude, humiliate, or pressure contributors.

Enforcement

Report conduct concerns privately to the maintainers listed in MAINTAINERS.md. Maintainers may remove content, restrict participation, or ban accounts when necessary to protect the project and community.

Enforcement decisions should be documented internally, proportionate, and free of retaliation.
