new clones v git pull in existing directories?

thanks for these scripts. I'm curious why you remove existing install directories vs doing a git pull in the existing clone directories? I guess there's no real ability to predict what's in the existing directories… nuking from orbit is the only way to be sure.

I don't remember why I did it this way to be honest.
A git pull should lead to the exact same result und is probably the smoother way.
