An Aurora Lua utility script for Xbox 360 that merges three previously separate community scripts into one:
- Title Update Downloader — browse your installed games and download their Title Updates straight from XboxUnity, or update every game at once to its latest Title Update.
- Title Update Enabler — enable/disable the Title Updates Aurora already knows about, or permanently apply the currently-enabled ones out of Aurora's managed cache.
- Free My Disk — find and delete Title Updates left behind for games you no longer have installed, freeing HDD space.
Together they form a full alternative to Aurora's native Title Update handling: downloading, batch-updating, enabling/disabling, and cleaning up after yourself, all from one script. It also works around a native Title Update hash-check bug present in Aurora 0.7b2 and earlier.
- Browse a single game — pick a game, see its available Title Updates (with a checkmark on ones you already have installed), download, verify (MD5), and register the one you want.
- Update ALL Games (Latest Only) — scans every installed game, finds the newest Title Update for each on XboxUnity, and downloads/installs whichever ones you're missing, in one confirmed batch (single drive prompt, no per-game pop-ups):
- Review screen is a full scrollable list (not truncated), showing each game, version, size, and whether it needs an internal drive, plus the total download size and count.
- If you pick a USB drive and some of the queued updates are cache-type (HDD-only), it warns you up front and lets you continue with just the rest instead of having them fail one by one.
- While installing, the status line shows which game/update is currently downloading (
[3/12] Halo 3 - Downloading...) and the progress bar reflects overall batch progress, not just the current file.
- Manage Cached Title Updates:
Listed safest/most common first, most destructive/rare last:
- Enable Latest Updates — marks the highest-version Title Update per game as active.
- Disable Latest Updates — deactivates all currently-enabled Title Updates.
- Free My Disk (Remove Unused TUs) — scans Aurora's database for Title Updates belonging to games that are no longer installed, shows how much space they're using, and deletes both the backup and live copies (plus their database entries) after two confirmations. This is irreversible.
- Mass Apply Latest Updates — permanently moves the active Title Updates out of Aurora's backup cache into their live location and removes them from Aurora's database. This is irreversible — only use it if you don't intend to keep managing Title Updates through Aurora. Note: since Aurora re-scans installed content, it will typically re-detect and re-back up the file on its own the next time it launches, so this rarely achieves a lasting "unmanaged" state.
- Delete ALL Title Updates (Full Cleanup) — deletes every Title Update Aurora knows about, including ones for games you still have installed: backup copies, live copies, and all database entries. This is the "wipe everything and start over" option. Irreversible — requires two confirmations.
- Aurora dashboard (0.7b2 or earlier — this is a workaround for a hash-check bug fixed in later versions).
- An active internet connection (the script refuses to run without one).
- Download
TitleUpdateManager.zipfrom the latest release. - Extract it directly into the root of your Aurora content drive — it already contains the full
Aurora\User\Scripts\Utility\TitleUpdateManager\path, so extracting will drop the script straight into place (just confirm merge/overwrite if prompted). - Launch it from Aurora's Utility Scripts menu.
- Select a game from the list to browse and install a specific Title Update, exactly like the original downloader.
- Select
-- Update ALL Games (Latest Only) --to update every installed game to its newest Title Update in one pass. - Select
-- Manage Cached Title Updates --to enable, disable, permanently apply, clean up unused Title Updates, or wipe all Title Updates already registered in Aurora's database.
After installing or applying updates, restart Aurora when prompted so the changes take effect, then enable the update from each game's own Title Updates menu if you used the download/update-all flow.
