External Downloader Integration

Heyo! Would love to see the external downloader integration that is listed in the Roadmap, but thought it'd be worth pushing for either a more generic approach that allows more customizable downloaders, or something a bit more modern like Prowlarr (or both)!

Curious to hear any thoughts for why/why not that idea, too!

Hi! Yes by external downloader I primarly meant those projects that connects to indexers etc. Prowlarr is definitely the first that I'll be looking into, though I have never used it so any feedback on how it could be used in Ownfoil is welcomed.

Another option is autobrr integration, which itself has prowlarr integration. Could be as simple as publishing a plaintext list (which will update specific filters and grab wanted releases).

Could even reach out to the autobrr devs to add ownfoil integration in there, since they're usually quite open to that sort of thing.
