Can you add benchmark to my ECS?

Hi! I wrote and continue upgrading my own ecs library. Can you add it to your benchmark? Or should I preapare benchmark and send it to you?

yes of course you can add the library, you need can make an PR.
As far as I see you also need to add CMake into your Project, cuz I use cpmaddpackage to add 3rd-party libraries.

I don't really have a "tutorial" for adding libraries ^^
You need to implement some features and classes:

• EntityFactory
  • createBulk/destroyBulk is optional to implement
• HeroMonsterEntityFactory
• the systems
• Application

You can have a look at flecs or entt for example.

After making your ecs-benchmark-example-decs library, you can add the benchmark in benchmark/.
You need to add 3 (sub) projects: decs, decs-entities and decs-extended.
Use the base benchmark Suit ecs::benchmarks::base::ECSBenchmark and use your classes in the Suit (see example).

Hi, I am really happy that you are interested in my lib. I will try to add it, but i can't promise. Regarding performance, I have done some tests myself and my lib (the part where components have stable memory addresses) falls somwhere in the middle - it is never the fastest nor the slowes. I think it could perform better, if different hash map and hash set will be used. By default I use unorderd map and unorderd set, and it have some impact on performance. But it can be easly changed, to use custom maps for example from this repo https://github.com/skarupke/flat_hash_map (changing one using)

Thank you so much for the information! I am starting learning how to use "components" to make a game engine so, I will have my look on your project! I will be updated for releases.
