This license applies to the PTPBox software, documentation, user interface,
images, and other materials distributed with this license (the "Software").
Ahmad Byagowi is the "Licensor."

1. DEFINITIONS

"Noncommercial Purpose" means a purpose that is not intended for, directed
toward, or used in connection with commercial advantage, monetary compensation,
or revenue-generating activity. Examples include personal experimentation,
uncompensated academic teaching or research, and charitable or public-interest
work performed by a nonprofit organization, provided the use is not performed
for or on behalf of a commercial entity.

"Commercial Use" means any use of the Software that is intended for, directed
toward, or used in connection with commercial advantage, monetary compensation,
or revenue-generating activity. Commercial Use includes, without limitation:

  a. selling, licensing, renting, hosting, or providing the Software or its
     functionality as a product, service, or paid feature;
  b. including the Software in, or using it to develop, test, operate, monitor,
     support, or promote, a commercial product or service;
  c. internal business use by or for a for-profit entity;
  d. paid consulting, integration, training, support, or managed services; and
  e. use for which a person or entity receives compensation or commercial
     benefit, whether direct or indirect.

Nonprofit status, free distribution, or charging only distribution costs does
not by itself make a use noncommercial. If there is doubt, the use is not
licensed unless the Licensor confirms in writing that it is noncommercial.

"Written Approval" means a specific written permission signed by the Licensor,
or an electronic permission sent from an account publicly identified with the
Licensor, that identifies the recipient and the permitted Commercial Use.
General statements, public repository access, issue or pull-request discussion,
and acceptance of a contribution are not Written Approval.

2. NONCOMMERCIAL LICENSE GRANT

Subject to every term of this license, the Licensor grants you a worldwide,
royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute
the Software, in source or object form, solely for Noncommercial Purposes.

This grant includes a license under any patent claims the Licensor can license
that are necessarily infringed by exercising the rights above, but only for the
same Noncommercial Purposes. No other patent rights are granted.

3. CONDITIONS

Every copy or substantial portion of the Software that you distribute must:

  a. include this license and all copyright, attribution, and source notices;
  b. identify material modifications and their date; and
  c. be distributed only for Noncommercial Purposes and without terms that
     purport to grant broader rights than this license.

Recipients receive their rights directly from the Licensor under this license.
You may not sublicense the Software, remove or obscure notices, or state or
imply that the Licensor endorses you or your use.

4. COMMERCIAL RIGHTS ARE RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY TO THE LICENSOR

No Commercial Use right is granted by this license. The Licensor alone retains
all rights to use, license, relicense, sell, host, distribute, and otherwise
exploit the Software commercially.

Anyone other than the Licensor must obtain the Licensor's prior Written
Approval before any Commercial Use. Any approval is a limited, personal
exception for the recipient, scope, duration, and conditions stated in that
approval. It does not transfer ownership, create a general commercial license,
or reduce the Licensor's continuing and exclusive commercial rights. The
Licensor may grant, refuse, price, condition, or revoke a commercial permission
as provided in the applicable written agreement.

5. CONTRIBUTIONS

If you intentionally submit code, documentation, artwork, or another
contribution for inclusion in PTPBox, you represent that you have the right to
do so and grant the Licensor a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free,
transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute,
relicense, and commercially exploit that contribution as part of, or in
connection with, PTPBox. This contribution license does not transfer ownership
of your contribution.

6. OWNERSHIP AND TRADEMARKS

The Software is licensed, not sold. The Licensor and applicable contributors
retain their ownership. Except for the limited rights expressly granted above,
all rights are reserved. No right to use the Licensor's or PTPBox's names,
logos, or trademarks is granted except as reasonably necessary for required
attribution.

7. TERMINATION

Your rights terminate automatically when you breach this license. If the breach
is not a Commercial Use and is cured within 30 days after you discover it or
receive notice, your rights are reinstated automatically. Rights terminated by
an unauthorized Commercial Use may be reinstated only by the Licensor's Written
Approval. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU BEAR ALL RISK ARISING FROM USE OF THE
SOFTWARE.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT
BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT,
OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE, INCLUDING
DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR
LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

10. GENERAL

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as
necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue
in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. This license is
the entire agreement for the rights it grants and may be modified only by a
written agreement with the Licensor.

11. LICENSE TRANSITION

This license governs each version of the Software distributed with it. It does
not revoke rights lawfully received for an earlier version under an earlier
license.
