Sharepoint connector Configuration check failed

I have installed Airbyte Open Source
Set up SharePoint application

Set up the Microsoft SharePoint connector in Airbyte , this is json file of connector setup

I get this error
Configuration check failed
'No streams are available for source SourceMicrosoftSharePoint. This is probably an issue with the connector. Please verify that your configuration provides permissions to list and read files from the source. Contact support if you are unable to resolve this issue.'

Hi bWorksApp, thank you for reporting this and for including your configuration (nicely redacted)!

We're looking into this. In the meantime, a few things are worth checking, since this message is most often related to what the configured app registration is allowed to list:

Things to check

1. No streams are defined. Your configuration shows "streams": []. The Microsoft SharePoint source is a file-based source, so it needs at least one stream defined (name, file format, and a glob pattern such as **) before the check can find anything to read. Try adding a stream in the UI under "Streams" and re-running the connection test.

2. Application permissions and admin consent. With auth_type: "Service" (client credentials), the app registration needs application permissions — not delegated ones — with admin consent granted in Entra ID. Typically Files.Read.All and Sites.Read.All are needed to list and read files. If consent has not been granted, or only delegated permissions are present, listing returns nothing and the check fails with the message you see.

3. user_principal_name. In service mode the connector reads through the drive of the specified user. That user must exist, be licensed, and actually have a OneDrive/SharePoint drive provisioned containing (or shared with) the files you expect.

4. search_scope. ALL includes items shared with the user. If the target files live in a specific document library, try narrowing the scope, or set the site URL so the connector reads from that site's drive directly.

To help narrow this down further, could you share:

• Your Airbyte version (OSS) and the Microsoft SharePoint connector version
• Whether the app registration has application permissions with admin consent granted (please just list the permission names — do not share client secrets, tokens, or any credentials)
• Whether the user in user_principal_name has an accessible drive with files
• The relevant excerpt from the check/sync logs, pasted inline in a fenced code block

Please ensure you mask or remove any sensitive information (API keys, passwords, tokens, client secrets, connection strings) before sharing logs or screenshots.
