A self-study guide covering grammar, vocabulary, the four skills, and exam-specific strategy for two language certifications:
- DELE B2 — Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, upper-intermediate Spanish (Instituto Cervantes). CEFR B2.
- CELGA 2 — Certificado de Lingua Galega (Xunta de Galicia). CEFR B1.
These are study materials, not a fixed schedule. Work through modules at whatever pace fits. Each file stands on its own, and answer keys are included throughout.
Who this is for: independent learners — typically Spanish speakers (or strong Spanish learners) preparing CELGA 2 alongside upper-intermediate Spanish. The Galician modules lean on Spanish as a scaffold but flag every place the two languages diverge.
Accuracy & currency: content is checked against authoritative sources (Instituto Cervantes / CVC for Spanish; RAG and the Xunta's Portal da Lingua for Galician). Exam formats and pass marks change — each exam-format file points you to the official source to confirm before you register. See the
EXAM_FORMAT.mdin each07_Exam_Prep/folder.

If starting fresh, most learners benefit from:
- Diagnostic test (
07_Exam_Prep/DIAGNOSTIC_TEST.md) — find your weak areas. - Read your exam's
EXAM_FORMAT.mdso you know the target from day one. - Grammar modules in order — they build on each other.
- Vocabulary modules alongside grammar, not after.
- Skill modules (reading, writing, listening, speaking) once grammar basics are solid.
- Worksheets, prompt banks and past papers in the weeks before the exam.
Cheatsheets are reference material — use them for quick review, not initial learning.
The Galician modules are written to exploit what you already know from Spanish while drilling the differences that trip people up: article contractions (do, na, polo, nun…), clitic pronouns (te vs che, and putting them after the verb), the second form of the article, the personal infinitive, and — above all — that Galician has no compound tenses (use comín, never hei comido). Watch for castelanismos in your own output: moi not muy, grazas not gracias, entón not entonces.
