Hi G6 Community 👋
I've been using the library for a weeks & I've been enjoying it a lot!

Before G6, my team was using Cisco's old NextUI library to render network topologies & help visualize infrastructure. NextUI unfortunately is no longer maintained, the codebase is 2015 style code and it was hard to develop & maintain.

Fortunately after about a month of researching I stumbled upon G6 stack of technologies.
Specifically, I've been using Graphin, the ReactJS API around G6

What I like about G6

• options for rendering to canvas, svg & soon a lot more GPU based rendering; can handle thousands of nodes easily
• can custom DOM to render tooltip!
  • if you're using @antv/graphin, which is the Reactjs based wrapper around G6, you can use JSX for custom tooltips!
• codebase is in typescript & is modern
• has plugins & features like: combo's feature, timebar,
• API to create custom layouts and behavior
  • this is very useful for custom business requirements & I'm glad to see it is part of the library
  • After moving from Cisco NextUI for visualizing network topologies, I needed to implement a layout that existed in the NextUI library that didn't exist in G6 (graph with a custom ordered hierarchy...for example):
  • TODO: will post a sample code solution for the community

I'm still new to G6, but I hope to contribute back and help build the G6 community & its usage in the United States.

Thank you for your reply. Recently, we have been developing G6 5.0, which will offer a better architecture, higher quality, and more capabilities. If you are interested, you can also join us in coding.
